ONDA (WAVE) - Teens on the Move for your Rights

A major achievement of this work was the award in november by the Bank of Brazil Foundation in the contest of Social Technologies, an award nationwide. A Social Technology (TS) is an initiative to tackle a problem in the community in such a way that can be replicated in other realities. Generally, TS is creative, because it uses local resources in an innovative perspective.

Contributed greatly to this award to recognize the initiative of teenagers go after their rights, demanding and achieving the expansion of public resources for schools, through a budget amendment passed in the House District in the amount of $ 2 million, yet in 2008.

The award reinforces for Inesc the importance of this work and renews the incentives for the permanent and necessary improvement of this experience working with adolescents and building a relationship and commitment to their schools, their communities, their expectations of the world. It was also for young people and their schools a premium full of meaning, especially meaning a recovery of youth often overlooked realities of living many exclusions and stigmas.
