Via Campesina is calling all its members, friends and allies to participate in the Global Day of Action

In 2008, there will be no ’World Social Forum’, but there will be ACTIONS and MOBILISATIONS all over the world.

You can join the movement: wherever you are, whatever the size or the style of your organisation, you can organise an action, a demonstration or a special activity to show that social movements, in their diversity and plurality, are actually building an other world based on solidarity instead of trade and profit. The specific issues will depend on the local organisations (TNCs, GMO, agrarian reform, FTA...)

La Via Campesina is calling all its members, friends and allies to participate *in the Global Day of Action, building broad coalitions of people, organisations and communities at local and national level. We believe that beyond the coordination of the forums itself, the WSF has to become the ground for long term mobilisation, solidarity and action.
