Iara Pietricovsky de Oliveira, member of INESC Management Board, is Anthropologist, Master in Political Science by the University of Brasilia, and theater actress since 1969. Iara is responsible for the initiatives developed in cooperation with agencies and international organizations. Currently, Iara is heading the activities related to the Rio + 20 UN Conference, the negotiations and the G20, among others. As INESC representative, Iara Pietricovsky is member of the Brazil Network coordination and of the Brazilian Network for People’s Integration (REBRIP).
José Antônio Moroni, member of INESC Management Board, holds University Degree in Philosophy, with post-graduation in History of Brazil, Special Education Fundamentals, and Methods and Techniques to outline Social Projects. Moroni works mainly on the following topics: political reform; popular participation and public power; social assistance; children and adolescents; and, human rights. José Antônio Moroni is also member of the coordination of the FBO’s (Brazilian Budget Forum) and of the FNPP’s (National Forum on Popular Participation), the platform of social movements on behalf of the political system reform, and is councilor to the CDES (Economic and Social Development Council).

Management

Maria Lucia Jaime holds a University Degree in Sociology from the University of Chile and is the Financial, Administrative and Personnel Manager of INESC. Since 1990, she coordinates the financial and administrative activities of the Institute’s, but for six years she served as advisor in the field of municipalities and Human Rights.
Policy Advisers

Alessandra Cardoso, the INESC Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor, holds a Master’s Degree in Economic Development from the Federal University of Uberlandia, and is taking the Doctor’s Degree Course in Applied Economics – Development and Environment, at Unicamp. Today Alessandra is responsible for developing the Investments Observatory in the Amazon region.

Alexandre Ciconello is a lawyer with University Degree from São Paulo University, expert in Human Rights by the American University (Humphrey Program – Fulbright), and holds a Master's Degree in Political Sciences from the University of Brasilia. He works in the fields of: human rights, budget and public policies, public security and racial equality. Alexandre is member of the Dhesca Brazil Platform coordination, and of the National Public Security Council (Conasp) as councilor.

Cleomar Manhas is educator with Master’s Degree in Education and Public Policies from the University of Brasilia, and Doctor’s Degree in the same area from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo PUC/SP. Her experience is based on non-formal and popular education processes. In both cases she accompanies the educational processes employed to implement public policies. Cleomar Manhas is the officer in charge of the Project Children and Adolescents in the Parliament.

Edélcio Vigna holds University degree in History from the Philosophy, Sciences and Language and Literature College in the advanced campus of the University of Sao Paulo, and a Master’s Degree in Political Sciences from the University of Brasilia. At INESC, Edélcio works on topics related to sovereignty and food and nutritional security, comprising land and family agriculture issues. He is also councilor at the National Council of Food Security and Nutrition (Consea).

Eliana Magalhães Graça holds University Degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais and Master’s Degree in Sociology from Unicamp. Since 2005 Eliana has worked for INESC in the fields of budget and human rights, with focus on gender and race. Currently, she carries out studies on public security policy; works on the elaboration of the racial inequality budget; and, works on the political environment at the Parliament to promote the debate on the underrepresentation of women, black and indigenous peoples.

Lucídio Bicalho holds University and Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Brasilia, and monitors issues on fiscal policy, notably the allotment of federal public budget to promote rights. He also participates in surveys on budget transparency in Brazil and political reform-related activities.

Márcia Hora Acioli is expert in Domestic Violence against Children and Adolescents, LACRI, from the USP Psychology Institute, and holds a Master’s Degree in Anthropology applied to Education, from the Education College of the University of Brasilia (UnB). She has already participated in and coordinated events related to the Rights of Children and Adolescents, Human Rights, Protagonism, Popular Education and Arts-Education. She is in charge of the project “Onda: adolescentes em movimento pelos direitos”

Ricardo Verdum holds University degree in Anthropology and Master’s Degree in Social Anthropology, additionally to Doctor’s Degree in the field of Social Anthropology of Latin America and the Caribbean, all from the University of Brasilia. He works on indigenous and social-environmental affairs. Besides monitoring and assessing public policies, Ricardo produces political-budgetary analyses and promotes training to leaderships and activists to intervene on the process of budget elaboration and assessment of the budget execution.

Ana Paula Soares Felipe holds University Degree in Political Sciences and International Relations, and Master’s Degree in Political Sciences. All Degrees are from the University of Brasilia. As INESC Board assistant, Ana Paula supports the institution’s process of planning, review and evaluation; prepares semi-annual and annual reports, additionally to institutional documents to financing agencies and governmental bodies; and, develops demands with the management board.
